Let me try to bring you through the day's events using the photos to do the talking.
Anyway, the day for me started at 5.45am when I woke up from my 1hr of sleep. I had barely enough time to shower and wash up, and my make upartist arrived at 6am. Ashley had stayed over at my place the night before, and was still soundly snoring away in my bed while my makeup artist was doing my hair and makeup!

A good shot using my mini table mirror! Pretty pretty! heehee

Forgive the dirty mirror. But I think.. the bride still looks gorgeous (albeit a bit fat. hahaha).

Deciding on which hair accessory to use. I had bought the hair accessory in Guangzhou!
Family started arriving at about 7plus am, with tracy ahyee being the first to arrive with some cakes and kuehs for breakfast for all. And then my bridesmaid Priscilla and Stephanie also arrived. By then, I was done with my hair and makeup, and was able to step out of the room to take pictures with all who had gathered.

With my proud and happy parents

Individual shot with Mummy

With my sister.
At this point, my family realised that we did not prepare any oranges for the opening of the car door, and my brother, Calvin was tasked to run to the market to buy some.

With my two ahyees.

With Kenny Uncle and Tracy Ahyee

With my two pretty bridesmaids.... Love you gals, and thanks so much for everything.

My cousins who were all there gathered at 7 odd in the morning. AND that's just a small percentage of more to arrive later in the morning.

My car-door opener all dressed up and on his best behavior. Trust me, he is usually more at ease dressed in his superhero costumes. haha

My two lovely gals helping each other with their corsages.

One of the few demure shots of myself that day... Trust me.

Received a call from Alvin (bestman) that they are on their way. So I have to get ready and let my parents do the veil covering thingy.

Look at the proud look on my daddy's face. He was really overjoyed that day.

Don't think that I stayed quietly in the room while waiting for Marcus to arrive. We were busy taking pictures!

While waiting, my beloved ahchek - actually, he is my ONLY ahchek, arrived with Sherwyn and Megan!

Sherwyn didn't come to me on his own accord as he usually will. I guess he is not used to seeing his cousin all made up and looking pretty :D

Marcus arrived... Looking happy! hahaha

Song Sian opening the car door for Marcus.

Why is my deardear laughing until his eyes cannot be seen???

My two pretty girls and everyone else were gathered at the door!! Oh no!

Look at the number of heads. haha

People who have spoken to me before would know that we did not intend to do any of the gate crushing games. Therefore, don't be mistaken by the stack of angpows in his hands. They are all really very VERY small money angpows which were meant to be given away (like water) to those people around...

I heard he was made to sing a song, shake his bum (he was supposed to dance, but trust me... my deardear will not dance one.. Even I wanna see also difficult. haha)..

He thought opening the front door was the last of his problems. But it's not. Stephanie pulled a chair and sat in front of my room..

See his reaction!!

He managed to see me...

But made to kneel and declare his love for me..

Look at his evil wife smiling away

He tried to look shy and appeal for help..

But got this reply from his wife...

He kept ahh and ehhh... that I got distracted by the young ones next to me...

And then I had the cheek to laugh at his predicament.

But of cause, finally he got in and managed to get his bride!

A well deserved kiss (though it's me on the recieving end! haha)

And then he put on the bracelet which he bought me as a gift on me.

And welcome the newly weds!!

A shot with my immediate family...

With my paternal family

And my maternal family

Final shot before leaving the house

My parents saw us off

A shot with our wedding car... and our wedding bears!

Some quiet time spent together in the car.

I love him soooo much.

Arrival at Granny's hse.. The photographer thought of this!

And I celebrated that he got hit on the butt by cupid's arrow.

Arrival in Granny's house..

Offering tea to my mother-in-law

And my emotional deardear shed some tears.

Offering tea to Granny.

A shot with my new family

A photo with Granny

With my sister-in-law and her boyfriend.

With our three helpers.

Deardear had to remove the veil for me, which he did with MUCH difficulty... Hmm... I heard the superstition that if the first pin was removed by the hubby, means the wife will always submit to him. So he took out with much difficulty, does it mean he will meet resistance before I submit? haha. Don't worry. Marcus said we are EQUAL.... and I know he means it!

A kiss between the couple

Look so demure in the kua hor..

A special moment shared together

A picture with my new extended family.

A loving photo...

Hand in hand together, forever and ever...

Another shot with the car and our helpers.

And we arrived back in Tampines!

It was really hot and glaring.

Our wedding bears.

The married out daughter is coming home!

Heehee.. Finally got to carry him.. Though he doesn't look exactly happy still

I was super tired.. My feet hurt...

With our wedding gift from Song Sian and Jee Xuan.

Drinking sweet soup.

A shot of ahchek taking pictures of me and my siblings

The entire family who gathered that morning.

Deardear offering tea to his in-laws..

And to my grandparents
And then we had lunch, before leaving my house for the hotel where I took a short 15minutes nap, a shower, and food before my makeup artist arrived again at 4.30pm!

Daddy walked me down the aisle for the solmnisation.

It meant a lot to me for daddy to pass my hand to Marcus. Cause it's really meaningful in that it's the father passing on the responsibility of loving, caring and looking after of the daughter to the husband.

The exchange of the rings.. We were told to say our own vows, and Marcus' was so touching that so many people (including both of us) shed tears. In fact, the very minute our JP said face each other, we started shaking and our eyes were brimming with tears. It's like everything is worth it, just for that moment. Everything was the build-up to that moment.

A kiss to seal the deal

Deardear signed..

And then I signed

Our marriage certificate. A certificate which i think ranks waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy up there as the most important certificate I have received in my life.
And then we had time to mingle with our guests, before the dinner!

With Daniel who flew back specially from Guangzhou, together with both our tea sets, and 6 cans of Wang Lao Ji (herbal drink - China's jiajia liangteh) for my parents.

With deardear's band of brothers

With our poly mates.

Deardear with Nicholas, his cousin and our pageboy.

This shot looks soooo arty...

Our page boy signing off on our guestlist.

And our flowergirl, my little princess, signing off on our guestlist.

A shot before our first march-in with the two darlings.

And then the doors opened...

Yes, lots of rose petals thrown...

I asked to be able to get up during the first dish to carry Kingsley... Priscilla's baby brother.
And then, it was up to the room to change to the evening gown.

The door opened, and we were caught laughing together.

Sharing a sweet moment together on stage after the conclusion of our thank you speech (damned, I AM FAT!) haha

Yes, a very unglam picture of me during the yam seng. Cause my uncle insisted on lagging behind, and shouting Seng after everyone has done so!

Deardear's family on VIP table

My VIP table

This was supposed to be a shot of all the cousins from my paternal side. Don't ask me why the adults appeared :D They thought they were young at heart. haha

We went back to Daniel's table as deardear promised a drink with him. Kelly (lady in the extreme right bottom) said deardear must 一个对一个. Meaning he can't toast to both Daniel and Simon (the guy next to her) at the same time. Heehee.. clever me said ok. Den deardear drink with Daniel, Simon, come I drink with you!

Heehee. And I finished my glass of beer first!

A shot with both parents

Who said married le cannot 撒娇 to parents.. haha.

Last picture with my new family at the end of the night

And with my family.
Overall, it was a really tiring, but very fulfilling day! And... I LOVE IT!
