What's Cooking! (Apr 09)

Marcus had gone to the imported supermarket, and stocked up on the spices that we would require in our kitchen. This was the meal he cooked for me!

Two more days

We are two days away from our big day. And I am typing this post out while Marcus is getting a manicure and pedicure. I have just finished mine!

Well.. Let's see what we have been up to:
Saturday (25/4) - Final fitting
Had our final fitting last Saturday, and my daddy came along to get fitted for his jacket. I also had my trial makeup and my daddy patiently (together with Marcus) waited for about 3 hours, from the time that we stepped into the shop, to me putting on my makeup and us trying on the gowns and suits for the final fit.

Marcus tried on a tux, and my daddy was so cute, he said that the tux looks a little weird cause of the back. Said maybe Marcus should tuck it in! lol

Monday (27/4) - Sheryl was a major disappointment
I was supposed to have my driving practical theory on this day. But I overslept. No words can describe the amount of disappointment I felt in myself, and needless to say, the amount of disappointment I brought to Marcus. How could I have overslept. Really STUPID. Now, I have to wait and book the test dates for October, which is when I will be back in Singapore next. I really have to apologise greatly to Marcus, cause I know he was looking forward to me passing the test. In fact, he had bought me an ipod touch the day before as a little gift, and I was not able to bring him happiness by passing, wait I should say, attempting the test.

We are having our rehearsal with the children and our AV guy tonight. I really hope everything goes smoothly. But of us haven't been sleeping much. In fact, average bedtime since our return on 20 April has been 6am, and we didn't sleep at all last night! Lucky I dozed off a few times whilest doing my nails this afternoon.

Oh well, looks like not only will we be a fat couple on Friday, we will also be a panda-eyed zombie lack of sleep couple! :D

Flower-girl Dress

Brought Megan to purchase her flowergirl dress on 4 April 2009.

For those of you whom I have not managed to share the colour theme story with, it goes something like this..

Me: Megan, Er-Jie's wedding colour is red, so your dress can either be red or white. Which would you prefer?
Megan: Eh.. er-jie, I like pink you know..
Me: Yeah, but it's either red or white. Which would you like?
Megan: Eh.. I think pink..
Me: Megan, you can wear pink in the morning. But at night, you have to choose either white or red.
Megan: Er-Jie, I think, still pink you know.

PENGZ.......

Anyway, together with her mummy, we headed to buy her dress. On our way, I asked how many dresses she would like to try that day, and she told me "three. Only three". And when I asked what will she do if all three are ugly, and her answer was super classic "Choose only the nice ones to try. Then all three will be nice!" wah kao.. can some one please remind her she has only just turned FIVE???

Anyway, I picked out the nice whites and the few nice reds for her to try on. And of cause, that silly girl headed straight to the pinks and picked out one for herself to try.

Every single dress that I had picked out for her, either me or her mum would say it's not bad, but she will say "yucks it's ugly". And when I helped her to put on the pink one, she had only put her head through, and she proclaimed "this is so nice and pretty!!" wah.. talk about being biased..

Here are some pictures of the dresses which she had tried on:

Meet and Brief Session

As we have my cousins, my god-sis, Marcus' sister and her boyfriend as helpers, we wanted to give them a chance to meet and mingle (or at least, be able to recognise each other :D) before the wedding. So we had a mini gathering on Tuesday (31 March) with them.

Instead of bringing them out to eat, Lynda Jiejie was very nice to say yes when I asked if we could use her place as the meeting location. Pizza was ordered, and I bought a swensons cake to celebrate the March babies (Deborah's 21st and Lianghui's 17th) birthdays.

I know it was after a long long day of work/school and everyone was tired. But Marcus and I are deeply touched for all of your presence. I hope you had a good time (though I might be boring) :D

Overall, I think it was quite a good session. Though mebbe I didn't manage to get everyone bonded, but I think everyone felt at ease with each other - or rather, I really hope they did.
